A winning badge You'll find it just off junction 6 of the M61 at the junction of De Havilland Way and Burnden Way, near to the Reebok Stadium (home of the Bolton Wanderers) and the Bolton Arena. It stands approximately 100 feet tall, is constructed of stainless steel and has a 'golden' appearance with its surface 'tiled' with 900 etched images of local sporting heroes. It's called the Spirit Of Sport and is an absolutely fantastic piece of art. Absolutely fantastic because it mixes the famous with unknowns to paint a picture of Bolton's rich sporting tradition covering the past, present and future. To us, every button badge we make is a work of art. Not quite on the scale of the Spirit Of Sport granted, but a one inch tall proud as punch piece of art nonetheless.
